Wow, life sure can get busy!
It's been over a year since I've posted anything here. It's about time I got back at it.
The funny thing is that in this country we again find ourselves with a prorogued Parliament...a "coup d'etat" in my humble opinion by the Harper Conservative government.
This time Parliament has been prorogued for even flimsier reasons than last year; namely the Harper government's refusal to answer opposition questions on the torture of Afghan detainees.
Back in 1852 Karl Marx wrote in "The Eighteenth Brumaire of Louis Bonaparte"
“Hegel remarks somewhere that all great world-historic facts and personages appear, so to speak, twice. He forgot to add: the first time as tragedy, the second time as farce.”
Harper's second proroguing of Parliament is definitely a farce!
